Stroud dominated the game from the kick off with some superb football, starting at the back from Sam Handy whose distributuon was excellent, short sharp passing cutting through the Viney defence at every opportunity. The combination of right back Warren Phillips and right midfield Danny Alderman operated btilliantly creating many chances for the team but these were all spurned until the 29 minute, when a fantastic run by Jafe Humphries down the right flank, getting round the back of the defence and cutting the ball across the goalmouth for Scott Montogomery to slot home. The 37th minute saw Stroud get their second, this time Steve Bick flying down the left flank and crossing the ball to find a mid-air Montgomery whose timimg was superb to score his second. 4 mins later, Stroud were three up, a slicing pass from Jafe Huphries find Danny Alderman out on the right, who then cut in and hit a shot from 20yds with his left to see it fly into the top left corner of the Viney goal. 3-0 at half time and the job was done, the only issue was one of complacency and Stroud took their foot off the pedal in the second half, allowing Viney too come more into the game. Conceding, reinvigorated Stroud and, they started to play as they did in the 1st half, dominating territory and possesion and in the 85th, Jafe Humphries making another snaking run down the right, crossing to find Ryan Renebach to score his first for Stroud and Stroud's 4th on the day. Sharpness
With 5 players missing and the remainder playing out of position to compromise, the adhesion and fluidity was not there for Stroud. However, Stroud dominated the first half and spurning many chances, even 2 open goals and 3 one on ones with the Sharpness keeper, pouring forward at pace causing the visitors defence allsorts of problems. On 39 mins, a mistake in the Stroud midfield, saw the Sharpness striker take a long hopefull shot from 35 yards and bounced over the keepers outstretched hands and, for the second week running found themselves behind, totally against the run of play. As the 2nd half commenced, Stroud were not playing as unit and went into long ball mode, bypassing the midfield but they still created three opportunites to score but again missed to take them. On 69 mins a through pass found Danny Alderman who was adjudged to be fouled and was awarded a penalty. Danny himself duly converted to level the scores. Within 2 minutes, Sharpness put themselves ahead again through a defensive mistake and 5 minutes later another defensive mistake made it 3-1 to the visitors. Bewildered, Stroud's composure in decline, the team had lost there way after creating so many opportunities and taking none and, unfortunately Danny Alderman saw red in the 85th min.

Stonehouse Town
Stroud started the game as a collective cohesive unit chasing down the Stonehouse players and forcing them nto making errors. Stonehouse happy to see half time at just 2-0 down. Liam Matthews replaced Danny him for his debut in the 1st team. The 2nd half Stonehouse came at Stroud but they weathered the 10 min rush and regained their composure. As Stonehouse forced for the game, Stroud were counter attacking to some devasting play. Fred Humphries making a fabulous lone assault, took on 5 players went clean through the Stone house only for the goalkeeper to make a good save. Stroud spurned several other schances to increase their lead. However, as the half drew on, Stroud retreated deeper allowing Stonehouse to come on to them but they were unable to create anythng however, in the 93 mins, a long diagonal ball found the head of a Stonehouse forward who jumpred above the Stroud keeper to make the score at 2-1 seems closer than the game actual was.
