Stroud is a Charter Standard Club

Stroud FC is an FA Charter Standard Club.

The FA Charter Standard Club Programme was established in February 2001 to recognize clubs that are well run and sustainable and where the interests of child protection and safety are paramount.

The Charter also recognises Stroud’s commitment to coaching, player and coach development and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game.

The FA, in conjunction with various bodies, has drawn up the following set of criteria for clubs wishing to reach Charter Standard:

  • A written constitution
  • FA CRB checked volunteers
  • All managers to have minimum of FA Level 1 Coaching Course
  • Commitment to attend in-service training
  • Acceptance and promotion of Codes of Conduct

The FA Charter Standard Club Programme now has three levels:

  • FA Charter Standard Club (Youth, Adult)
  • FA Charter Standard Development Club (Youth, Youth and Adult)
  • FA Charter Standard Community Club.

Stroud is currently working towards Development Status.
